Connecticut parcels are maintained at the local level (town or city) in different ways. Some municipalities have GIS staff who maintain parcels. Some Councils of Governments (COGs) maintain parcels for their member towns and some towns hire consultants. Every town in Connecticut has digital parcels. Most have an online viewer so that citizens can view and explore the map layers.
The parcel datasets shown on CT ECO originated from the 2020 data collect of Office of Policy and Management which now houses the CT GIS Office.
Visit the CT GIS Office Municipal Parcel Files page for links to regional parcels and more information.
Municipal Parcel Shapefile Download (2020 data collect)
We have received requests for GIS file (shapefile format) of parcels by town. These can be added to GIS software as well as CAD. Click on any town in the map below to download a zip of the parcels in shapefile format for that town. This is the same data available from the OPM website by COG and in geodatabase format.
